With the increasing competition in society, employment pressure and workpressure increasing, people have more and more psychological problems. Mentalhealth has become the focus of the scholars and experts. As a special education group,pre-school students’ mental health status is also being paid more attention by the society.In order to more fully understand the present situation of mental health of preschooleducation professional students and find effective means of education, this study bythe self-assessment lists of symptom of SCL90test was conducted among461studentsof Hunan Zhijiang normal schools. It is concluded that the university students’ ninefactors scores in somatization,force symptom,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety, hostility, terror, paranoia, psychotic were higher than domestic normallevel and show significant difference (P <0.01).The test results show that students havedifferent degrees of mental health problems. And the second grade students’psychological health level is lower than the first grade.According to the test results,40students with low level of psychological healthwere got targeted sports intervention experiment. The study uses six ways: First, sportsgames teaching to cultivate students’ interest in sports; Second, calisthenics teaching toedify students’ sentiment through the combination of music and movement and makestudents relaxed by listening to light music after class; Third, Taijiquan teaching tocultivate the students’ self control ability. Fourth, antagonism and difficult basketballtechnology to make the students learn to challenge themselves,overcome difficulties,and realize the movement of happiness; Fifth, the theory of sport and health; Finally,a physical diathesis developing training session:"wind and rain of life" to let thestudents experience and understand the unity, gratitude and cherish everything theyhave now. Ultimately achieve the goal of the experimental intervention.After intervened education, nine factors about the experimental objects havedecreased in somatization, force symptom, interpersonal relationship, depression,anxiety,hostility,fear,paranoia and hostility and close to the level of national norm.Mental health has clearly improved, and the second grade students are better thangrade one students. After the intervention, students’ interests in sports have increased,especially in the game,aerobics and basketball sports. At the same time,it has a goodeffect on students’ interpersonal communication, learning, life and life goalorientation and effectively improves the students’ psychological health. The results ofexperimental study show that the sports can promote students’ psychological health effectively. At the same time, the study proposes that Hunan Zhijiang normal schoolshould open more all types of sports elective course in the future and make a variety ofextracurricular sports activities and development activities to effectively improve themental health of students.
