The Chinese textbook itself is a culture and also the medium of cultural transmission. Chinese Teaching forms a unique textbooks compiling system in the process of its development. Students not only need to learn and understand the language through Chinese textbooks, but also need to get caught up in the multicultural knowledge and live in the human civilization so as to achieve an aesthetic life and moral life. Chinese textbooks shoulder the historical mission of transmitting human culture, which includes inheriting cultural heritage of China and even the rest of the world, transmission of the knowledge in both previous life and modern life, developing students’ capability of using the language and creative thinking skills, and improving their personality charm. How to scientifically create selected works of outstanding Chinese and foreign works and give full play to the role of teaching materials culture are attracting more and more attention of far-sighted men. Researches on the cultural construction of junior Chinese textbooks have very high academic value and practical significance. Taking theories of Pedagogy, Educational Culture and Educational Psychology as the foundation for its research, supported by junior Chinese textbooks (Shandong edition), this paper interprets status quo of the cultural construction of junior Chinese textbooks from two aspects of multicultural framework and three dimensions embodiment by adopting a combination of static and dynamic research method. In addition, combining with the questionnaire survey, this paper analyzes the effectiveness of carrying out the implementation of the textbooks in classroom teaching and so on, and puts forward practical strategies for the cultural construction of junior high school Chinese textbooks, which primarily involves updating the concept of the cultural construction of Chinese textbooks, establishing an educational practice view of fully cultivating students’ language attainment, building up view of multicultural fusion and national cultural values. It also proposes that new cultural model of junior Chinese textbooks should be constructed and the following points should be accomplished:set clear objectives in order to realize the unity of teaching aims and the intention of scripting; enrich the contents to make the selection and extension supplement each other; reform the way so as to enable direct gains fits with indirect acquisitions reasonably; make multiple evaluations, which means adopting the double-track approach of introspection and others’evaluations. These targeted recommendations on textbooks uses aims at laying stress on culture infiltration in teaching, handling the relationship between close reading and the overall grasp of cultural connotation, effectively promoting students to actively explore the initiation and development of the subject consciousness of teaching materials culture, stimulating teachers’and student’s initiative and enthusiasm for reading the culture of Chinese teaching materials so as to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Chinese teaching.
