On The Present Situation And Development Countermeasures To The Ideological And Political Theory Courses In Private Colleges

Ideological and political education, which has draw great attention after the "16th Document" issued, represents the essence of socialist colleges. The ideological and political theory course is an important way to guide students to establish correct world views, outlook on lives and values, and is also the main course of Ideological and political theory education. Private colleges play an important role of the Chinese higher education, also bear the responsibility of the ideological and political education, especially theoretical education. However, there are a lot of problems, in the ideological and political theory course in private colleges, to be solved. Because of the significance of the growth and development of ideological and political theory course to improve teaching quality, teaching effectiveness, and also the grown up of a student, it is extremely urgent to strengthen and enhance the ideological and political theory course in private colleges. This paper basic the principle of the Marx doctrine, Mao Zedong Thought and Chinese characteristic socialism theory system, and utilize the method of social survey, scientific thinking, analysis&synthesis, deduction&induction. The article is divided into three parts and is made by a research of ideological and political theory teaching in private colleges.Firstly, ideological and political theory course, after several amendments, has formed a complete curriculum system and give full play to the educational function of the special college education system. The unique characteristics and orientation of the private colleges made it unique and common, in public colleges, about ideological and political theory course. Strengthen and improve the ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching in private colleges in guiding the socialist direction of running private colleges, promoting its sustainable development, realizing the goal of talents training, has practical significance to promote the healthy growth of all the students.Secondly, by conducting questionnaire and interview to five private colleges in Dalian area about current situation in ideological and political theory course, I made an analysis for the result of the survey. There are some problems in the current ideological and political theory course in private colleges such as lack in the cognition of itself, and the singleness of the teaching means and methods and the shortage of attractiveness in teaching contents. The reason is closely related with the school running characteristics, traditional teaching idea and teaching staff’s quality.Thirdly, to strengthen the ideological and political theory course in private colleges, it must be improved in three aspects:understanding of the function, teaching methods and teaching content. It means the private colleges should improve the cognition of the management staff, teachers and counselors in ideological and political theory course education, so they can deeply change the teaching idea, innovating teaching methods, enrich teaching contents, then improve the reality of ideological and political theory. With the teaching quality of ideological and political theory course in private college effectively improved by full range efforts in all aspects, we can achieve the ultimate goal of the ideological and political theory course.
