With the development of economic globalization, many elements of soft cultural power wereincreasingly being incorporated into the comprehensive national evaluation system. Sports were also anumber of soft cultural power elements which was an important part of overall national strength. With thesmooth development of fitness activities, many sports activities were developed extensively. And peopleparticipate in physical exercise in the gym, ommunity, parks and other places. Exercise square, this naturalplaza place was gradually being used up, and formed a unique square sports culture, which meets thephysical exercise of people’s leisure life. This form of exercise has been proved to be an effective way topromote sports culture of sustainable development, enhance social mental outlook.In this paper, selecting the theory of cultural soft power sports city square as the research object,Zhengzhou City, Erqi,Guancheng Hui District, Central District, these three were selected as a case study toinvestigate the square, and we collect a lot of data for the study of literature basis, using literatureinvestigation, mathematical statistics, logical analysis, comparative analysis and other research methods.objective analysis of were carried out including the basic situation in Zhengzhou city square, sportsparticipants, motivation behavior and factors; Sports participants and analyzed Square Plaza sportsawareness of cultural values, function and morphology; Sports participants and sports plaza culturalsystems influence the attractiveness of the policy, the organization affinity identity and social cohesion;Thus we summed up the bottleneck to promote sports development and promotion of sports and culturalsoft power of the square and the elimination of bottlenecks in the path and method. The conclusions weredrawn as follows: 1. District of Zhengzhou city square sports activities can basic meet the exercise needs of residents.funds of Place physical activity were relatively low; Plaza facilities meet the basic needs of the participants;Activities besides the basic square dance outside were becoming increasingly colorful; there was a greatdevelopment space in commercial plaza.2. Basic situation of Zhengzhou city square sports participants:36-55years old women were themajority participants; Zhengzhou urban population was low compared to other average considering incomeand education level; Due to time reasons the participants were more rural and urban unemployed; Therewas a positive relationship between age and activity time of participants of more than61-year old.3. The motivation of Zhengzhou city square sports participants: Most of the participants was mainlyfor the purpose of the body needs; Main hierarchy of needs was physiological needs; Most residentsvolunteered for the square sports activities, only few residents were passive to exercise because of relativesand friends.4.Zhengzhou city residents to participate in the activities of square sports participants’ behavior: givepriority to with self-raised funds; The average time was20minutes or more; average intensity was mainlymoderate intensity; main frequency of different ages were more than2-3times and6times;The main itemsof different sexes were running dance classes. New sport form was gradually favored by young people;Themain form was voluntary organizations, including tai chi, jogging and badminton project; Main factor wasthe individual interest in sports-loving sports, the natural environment, the social and cultural environment.Male participants focused on sports competitions activities, while female participants focused on thepersonal views of sports.5. Square sports participants in sports culture cognition: Value cognition was mainly to keep fit,promote happiness and the pursuit of the good things; Cognitive function was mainly to enhance physical fitness, promote physical and mental development, in order to enhance exchanges and promote theharmonious development of society; Some of the participants do not ask for the form of cognition, as longas achieve physical fitness, mental exchange; More demands for music and dancing.6. The identity consciousness of square sports participants for sports cultural soft power manifestationwas weak: especially the rules and regulations related to the square were not enough to understood, andparticipants do not realize the importance of the relevant laws and regulations to square and physicalactivity; Physical attractiveness for understanding cultural policy was not enough, and only in the " diseasesof modern civilization "were people forced on health consciousness; Sport participants were more fully andeffectively understanding appeal of sports and cultural values, understanding of social cohesion sportsculture, sports and cultural organizations affinity and cultural, thus improve the overall spirit of the peopleinvolved in sports plaza enthusiasm and society.7. Bottleneck for square sports participants to promote sports development and promote cultural softpower was mainly that sports knowledge and attention of participants was not enough, Plaza Managementand coordination of activities of the organization was not enough, the level of sports instructorsrepresenting square and insufficient control over the plaza sports culture was low. This was causingunreasonable nuisance, low quality and exercised workout crowd effect was not obvious, which were notoptimistic about the phenomenon.
