Senior high school students′education period has always been regarded as a key period for students tocontinue their college education. Besides this, students′learning motivation situations also have profoundeffects on students′personal developments, academic achievements etc. Actually, in order to perfect seniorhigh school education modes and further promote teacher-student relationships, it will be both practicallyand theoretically meaningful for us to pay enough attention to senior high school students′learningmotivation and teacher-student relationship.This thesis starts from the teacher-student relationship and takes Luoshan senior high school as a caseto explore the present situations of school students’ English learning motivation and teacher-studentrelationship. The relationship between learning motivation and teacher-student relationship and learningmotivation’s influence on the teacher-student relationship has been researched as well. According to theresearch requirements, the author has put forward questions as:(1) What is the present situation of students’English learning motivation in Luoshan senior high school?(2) What is the present situation ofteacher-student relationship in Luoshan senior high school?(3) What are the influences of teacher-studentrelationship on students’ learning motivation?From the final data analysis, the final major findings are (1)Situation for Grade1students′Englishlearning motivation was better than both Grade2and Grade3.The phenomenon of motivation′differentiation has been presented among Grade2students and the overall motivation situation shows adecreasing trend actually. Most of Grade3students′learning motivations are far from enough and thedifferentiation phenomenon is worse.(2) Situation for Grade1′s teacher-student relationship is moreharmonious than both Grade2and Grade3, Grade2is better than Grade3. Different grades show theteacher-student relationship tensity more or less.(3)All grades’ learning situations were closely related totheir teacher-student relationship. Good and harmonious teacher-student relationship will be helpful forpromoting students′learning motivation, disharmonious teacher-student relationship will bring bad effectsfor students′motivation′improvement. This thesis is composed of5parts. In the first part, the author mainly introduces his researchbackground,motivation,significance and the overall research structure. In the second part, the presentresearch situation and related literature reviews have been analyzed. The third part is mainly about researchmethods, tools, procedures etc. For the fourth part, the author mainly discusses the data and results. In thelast part, major findings have been presented naturally.
