Practice is the basic way of human beings’ survival. Practice can let human beingschange both the objective world and their subjective world. The status and effects of practiceis realized by Chinese higher education and contemporary college students gradually. Andthey are taking part in all kinds of practice activity and accelerating the fusion with society.But reviewing the current higher education, there are still deficiencies in practice education,for that the practice activities of colleges and universities have not played their due roles inaspects of increasing college students’ practice ability and cultivation of ideology and morality.So the pertinence of practice education are not adequate. Therefore, it is practical problemthat we must face to explore practice education mode and reinforce college students’ practicelearning and education. So we should confirm the objectivity of higher education’s practiceeducation, enhance the link of practice education and enrich the content of practice education.Practicing in this way is in favor of these four aspects. They are the accumulation ofspecialized knowledge, promoting college students’ practice and innovation ability, beinggood for college students to improve the level of ideology and morality and facilitatingcollege students’ physical and mental health and integrated development. This paper discussesthe current situation of contemporary higher education’s practice education, which concludeskinds of problems, such as unspecific goals, process becoming a mere formality, relativelysubjective evaluation, unitive links and so on. Furthermore, this paper analyses the reasons ofthe problems, which are that the understanding of the status and the function of practiceeducation does not reach the designated position, that there are lacks of innovation in bothcontents and forms, that there are vulnerable spots in operation mechanism, that there aredeficiencies in safeguard mechanism and so on, existing in the work of colleges anduniversities’ practice education. Besides, this paper elaborates the five principles of practiceeducation that are linking theory with practice, subjectivity, goal, openness andsystematicness. Eventually, this paper puts forward the relative countermeasures of collegesand universities’ practice education. They are scientific design, reflection the target,intensifying the guiding functions of values, clarifying responsibilities, coalescence ofteachings, promoting the implement of the goal of practice education, enriching the contents,innovating patterns, optimizing the evaluation of practice education performance, attachingimportance to links, strenghthening the implement plans, promoting the synergeticdevelopment of practice activities, expanding bases, resource integration, perfecting thesafeguard mechanism of practice education and so on. Therefore, practice education shouldplay its positive roles in establishing college students’ socialist core values and cultivationsuperior qualities to realize colleges and universities’ practice education goal.
