Since the1960s, the west attach great importance to the intellectual development and music education of children’s early education, and scientific experiments prove that this phase of the study on the learning activities of people played a decisive role, to establish lifelong learning foundation. Therefore, how to children for early music education in the whole process of music teaching occupies a very important position. Orff music teaching method is a creation of a complete set of music education system from German composer and music educator Carl Orff, the music education system widespread in the20th century, which has a very significant effect to the world music education, has raised an upsurge in the countries all over the world for using Orff teaching method to music education. Orff music teaching method is very seriously in children’s music education, which has been used as the center of the whole teaching. In Orff music teaching method, the core concept of the method which called "the original nature music" emphasize on children’s music education, starting from the instinct of children, development and cultivate their maximum creative ability, impromptu ability, thinking ability and so on.Early childhood development in thinking has played a very important role in the formation and development from the process of the whole thinking, which is one of the crucial periods, after years of exploration and practice, it is not difficult to find that music education is serviceable to develop and promote to the development of children’s thinking. And among them, the early childhood development in thinking is of fluidness and relative concreteness, which at the same time have the plasticity and development potential. Therefore, the development of music education in the countries all over the world, are very value of doing education to children in the process of the whole music education, and constantly develop the potential of children thinking, thus provided a basis for children’s thinking in the late development. The present music education is mainly to cultivate children’s comprehensive ability, the specifically training for children thinking and development has no special research and systematic teaching design. Children’s thinking has its own characteristics and special regularity, and has the characteristics of rapid development and great potential, develop the thinking of children provides the basis and premise to the development of children’s future and even the whole life, but also lays a solid foundation for future intelligence and thinking development, so developing thinking seems more important for children. Through the author’s study found from the orff music teaching method that the teaching ideas and teaching methods of orff music teaching method are suit to the characteristics and particularity of children’s thinking development, in the teaching ideas there can be developed in many teaching methods which can be used in the training development of children’s thinking, but the data and research does not see more, the research has the certain difficulty, but also has the very big research space and value.In this paper, there has a total of three chapters, the first chapter is the introduction to Orff and his music teaching method, emphasis on advanced teaching concept and teaching methods; The second chapter is a simple introduction and analysis of the children’s thinking, including the structure of children’s thinking, the development characteristics in stages, and the specific analysis and introduction of several kinds of thinking development; The third chapter is a incorporation between the contents of the first and the second chapters,and uses them as the foundations, in the form of integrating theory with practice to explore how to apply orff music teaching method on children’s thinking development.The purpose of this study is that, through the characteristics of early childhood development of thinking and the analysis and research for the teaching concept and teaching methods of orff music method, use the preschool children which period is given priority to with the future significance, and with the design of the teaching, to combine the two one, to find a suitable concept and method for preschool children’s various ideas and methods of thinking, in order to develop this stage children’s action thinking, image thinking and abstract thinking, creative thinking, more agile thinking, more comprehensive development. Through the study, it can be found that Orff music teaching method is fit for developing children’s thinking in terms, all kinds of teaching ideas and methods of the Orff music teaching method are fit for training and developing with all kinds of thinking of preschool children, including active participation, with the help of Orff instrument for rhythm training, with the aids of action and language for rhythm training, pay attention to the improvisational creation idea have played a large role for children’s thinking development and training, which has a larger exploring space. The specifically combination research with music for children’s thinking development at present does not see more, so in this paper, the analysis and research add a new task and study for this field.
