Since the1980s, China’s private higher vocational colleges have madeconsiderable development, effectively relieve the contradiction between highereducation demand and education resources. Private higher vocational colleges inChina have obtained great achievements and at the same time face many difficultiesamong which the greatest difficult is short of funds. Private higher vocational collegesare not identical with public colleges and universities. They have their ownparticularities, such as, self-raised funds by the society force, market-oriented,self-financing, together with a series of special developing problems. Therefore, thefinancing problem has become the bottleneck factor that restricts the development ofprivate higher vocational colleges.In this paper, with the methods of case analysis, comparative analysis andliterature, the financing status of Hunan vocational college of foreign languages isstudied. It carrIies out financing mainly by tuition fees, loan, social donations,corporate investment, logistics socialization, etc. Though it has diverse financingmethods, the innate character is single and many problems existed: there are no morerising space for tuition fees, in a short time the shortage status of the social donationcan’t be changed, loans because of the limitation of credit policy is hard to meet theneeds of the development of college. and Other financing methods such associalization of logistics cannot become the main stream while it has beenimplemented. Financing status quo of Hunan vocational college of foreign languagesis very difficult to guarantee the sustainable development of its own, therefore, tosolve the current problems existed in the financing of college and to realizediversified financing become urgent needs to promote the development of college.Comparing private school financing mode in the United States and Japan, we draw theenlightenments to our country: we need to improve the relevant legal system; Thegovernment should enhance the support for private colleges; Private colleges want toenlist the help from social forces and broaden the financing channels and so on. Onthis basis, this article put forward diversified financing problems countermeasures andSuggestions on hunan vocational college of foreign languages.
