As a medium of information transfer, e-books play an important role in the effect of teaching. Without abundant resources, e-books cannot meet the different needs, and the quality of teaching will be discounted. However, the traditional biological e-books are mostly encyclopedic, with huge amounts of data, but lack of complete teaching process. They also lack of consistency in concrete teaching design, so they can not conform to the requirements.As a rich, advanced teaching tools, iPad provides a lot of free space and plenty of choices for the students and helps students to break the traditional learning strategies. It promotes the formation of the diversity of students’ learning strategies. Furthermore, it also provides a much richer set of teaching material for teachers. The multimedia resources of e-book can arouse the students’ learning motivation.This research is basis on the reality. Analyzing the design faults guided by constructivism, multiple intelligence theory, cooperative learning theory, the theory of user interface design and the needs of teachers and students. And base on the learning content of " heredity and variation", combining with the characteristics of multimedia teaching, according to the teaching design process, materials are divided into course guide, knowledge learning, cooperative learning, classroom assessment and teaching evaluation. Finally, base on the development platform of iBooks Author, the design and development and implementation, the important thing is the research of innovation point and difficult point, using the HTML5to design interactive animation, make the learners to avoid overload of working memory, and in the process of interaction, make the learners to have a more profound understanding, and promote their processing and knowledge construction. Design3D images, so the learners can use fingers to rotate it to observe the morphological structure of molecules from any angle when they are watching the electronic learning material.
