With the development of assistive technology at home and abroad and the rich, thecurrent study focused on this aspect of physical disabilities and living aids transitionalareas, and assistive technology for education and research related patterns of littlecontact, and an introduction to Lord; addition, foreign countries have begun to ipadtechnology and software used in special education, who has cerebral palsy, learning touse ipad, exchange success stories, and domestic aspects of research in cerebral palsyand related software for the ipad was small, and yet there as empirical research onassistive technology software selection and adaptation of children with cerebral palsymethods. Based on this, the present study was to investigate the processes and methodsipad technology and software under the Assistive Technology SETT model in theeducation of children with cerebral palsy in the selection and adaptation.In this study, children with cerebral palsy using a multiple barriers ipad software,for example, in a large number of inspection on the basis of assistive technology, ipadand corresponding literature on children with cerebral palsy, through observation andinterviews, the use of assistive technology WATI rating scale, SETT appropriateassistive technology with tables, explore ipad assistive technology software featuressuitable cases, and through the use of case adaptation and explore the ipad technologyadaptation process to select the software used in the case when, after the effect of themethod and adaptation. The results were as follows:(1) in SETT model is based on the construction of the domestic processes ipadsoftware selection and adaptation: a consideration of assistive technology; use WATIcollect student, environment, and task information potentially available ipad software;student, environment, tasks, and software for analysis of key factors; according tostudents’ abilities, obstacles, needs and potential available ipad software adaptation; trial software and make adjustments.(2) summarize the ipad software selection andadaptation methods:. A student’s needs, covering all areas related to the environment inall aspects of the mission areas, such as physical, cognitive, communication, socialskills, environmental control, especially consider the student for independent living,social interaction and entertainment needs;. b in the process of gathering information,the use of assistive technology WATI rating scale to assess the activities of the student’sability to clear the way, obstacles and needs;. c mode using SETT assistive technologyadaptation table, the key elements of student ability, barriers and needs ipad softwareand assistive technology functions adaptation. When the software should be accurateadaptation refine students, mission-critical elements, software features and functions toexplore assistive technologies, in order to find commonality of function and assistivetechnology may be applicable to the crowd and development goals, then adaptation,attention trial and adjustment.(3) Although the adapter out of the ipad software maycause negative effects, but the positive effect positive than negative, rewarding casesduring the study.(4) summed up the country on ipad software selection and adaptationmethods and adaptation table guide, software evaluation form.Finally, deficiencies and recommendations of the study.
