The change of time goes hand in hand with the social concept innovation and social structure transformation. The traditional family pattern of "Male farming women weaving" is gradually replaced by growing number of dual income or career families. However the double high commitments to the work of the dual career couples intensify the conflicts within their work and family areas. The study looks into one dual career couple’ experiences in work and family life by semi-structured depth interview, aiming to explore the issue of dual career couples’ work-family balance. The study combs the dual career couple’s key events where work and family influence each other, interprets the problems they confronted and the dealing means they took, and further analyzes the internal factors making for the balance of their work and family. Moreover, the study hopes to provide beneficial revelations for more dual income or career families through the vivid work-life scene.The results show that, the main problems the dual career couples faced focus on how to judge their own career development and undertake common family responsibility. They can better balance the work-family relationship by the acquisition of kinds of resource from inner and outer circumstance, including mental support, knowledge, skills and material instruments from the core family, natural family, workplace and social domestic service. Meanwhile, the couples ought to manage their role behavior by rational assignment, coordination, transition and prioritization according to the different stages of career development and family life. In addition, the study further points out internal factors, such as proactive personalities, common career values and deep affection basis, contribute a lot to their work-family balance.
