A Study Of The Relationship Between Narcissistic Personality And Personal Defense Style, Intercourse Vexation In University Students

College students’ intercouse vexation problems have had a lot ofresearch, but the problem is still outstanding. From2008, college freshmen are thegeneration after90s, as a label for the one-child generation, has its own characteristics.Many people feel for the generation after90s are self-centered, narcissistic, full ofpersonality, its own way. This generation of college students have such a narcissisticpersonality, has a kind of defensive style, which would bring intercouse vexation? Thatis what this study attempts to explore the issue.The study used a Interpersonal Relationship Integrated Diagnosis Questionnaire,Defense Style Questionnaire (DSQ) and Nareissism Personality Questionnaire as ameasurement tool for717freshman to senior students conduct research, results are asfollows:Students’ vexation prevalent condition almost60%of college students in thepresence of troubled relationships.In terms of the scores of intercouse vexation, there is a significant differencebetween college students who have different birthplaces. Rural students wassignificantly higher than the urban college. There are different majors significantdifference in interpersonal relationships, interpersonal problems in science andengineering students was significantly higher than liberal arts students and medicalstudents. There are different grades of college relationships significant difference,freshman, sophomore, senior junior interpersonal problems above.Students’ narcissistic personality traits were significantly higher than in overtnarcissism covert narcissism. Male students in the dominant narcissistic personality andnarcissistic personality both are higher than female students recessive. Overt narcissismcollege towns than in rural college students. Only children and no significant differencein the narcissistic personality. Science and engineering students overt narcissism, covertnarcissism personality were higher than liberal arts students and medical students.Students in different grades have significant differences in the implicit narcissisticpersonality, higher freshman sophomore, junior. Male students at the intermediate defense mechanisms and immature defensemechanisms were significantly higher than female students. Science and engineeringstudents of immature defense mechanisms than medical students, and medical studentswas higher than liberal arts students. On mature defense mechanisms, higher medicalstudents in science and engineering, liberal arts students in science and engineering andhigher. Intermediate defense mechanism is higher than liberal arts students in scienceand engineering. Sophomores, juniors, seniors immature defense mechanisms thanfreshman, sophomore, junior year students than in mature defense mechanisms.Sophomore, junior than a freshman on the middle defense mechanisms.Students’ Covert Narcissism Personality and interpersonal problems weresignificantly correlated. Students’ dominant and recessive narcissistic personalitynarcissistic personality were associated with immature defense mechanisms,intermediate and mature defense mechanism defense mechanism significantlycorrelated. Interpersonal problems are also significantly associated with the threedefense mechanisms.Defense mechanisms had a significant mediation effete on the relationship betweenintercouse vexation and Covert Narcissism.
