The Difficulty Of"the Elder Drifters"on The Urban Adaptation And Social Work Intervention

Along with the acceleration of population flow and the deepening of aging in China,The number of "the elder drifters"is increasing day by day.However,the shift of geographical position and the change of living environment have brought a lot of pressure and challenges to the lifestyle,values and psychological state of "the elder drifters".How to help the "the elder drifters" solve the problem of urban adaptation and improve their quality of life in new residence has become a problem that the society needs to solve urgently.Based on the above background,this paper takes 25 "the elder drifters" in D community as the object.First of all,the thesis studies the forms of urban adaption difficult for "the elder drifters".There are four forms.First,the cultural level,mainly reflects in the difficulty of language communication.Second,the life level,mainly reflects in the difficulty of life adjustment.Third,the relational level,including the contradiction of family relationship and the difficult construction of social relationship.Forth,the psychological level,including the loss of identity change,the recognition of the new residence and low loneliness.Second,There are three reasons explain why the"the elder drifters" brings into the difficulty of the urban adaptation.Personal factors include poor physical fitness and difficulty in psychological adjustment.Family factors include the poor interaction between family members and the weakening of family spiritual comfort function.Social factors,including low community support,high cost of living,medical insurance reimbursement in different places,and the lack of social welfare treatment in residential areas.Third,making a study of the case work intervention.Under the premise of demand assessment,I choose aunt zhang as the service object of the case and design social worker service scheme with its characteristics.Through the evaluation and reflection of each intervention process,the effectiveness of case intervention is analyzed.The results show that the case work to improve the the urban adaptation for the"the elder drifters" has a positive effect,which can effectively improve interpersonal skills,expand the scope of interpersonal communication.At the same time,the practical intervention of social workers has been deeply introspective,which can provide some thoughts and references for similar intervention in the future.Many scholars used group work to intervene in the adaptation of"the elder drifters".This paper innovates the method.Based on social support theory,I choose case work to intervene in the urban adaptation of "the elder drifters".The results show that the degree of urban adaptation of"the elder drifters"is significantly improved after the case work intervention.It is hoped that this paper will provide a new way to improve the urban adaptation of"the elder drifters",so that they can enjoy a happy life in Wenzhou.
