Alienation is a negative emotion, which including uncontrollablefeeling, helpless feeling etc. Because of alienation from other people,society, nature and other relationships, an individual will realizea sense of distance and be estranged from each other, which will causealienation. At present the study of adolescent alienation has startedand has made some progress. Most researches are focused on the theoryand interventional research is few‘Th’ere s no relevant researchfocusing on the students from rural left behind junior high schoolstudents.This thesis starts with a relatively detailed description aboutresearch of alienation both at home and abroad, including the concepts,constructs, measuring tools, important theories and studies, etc.On that basis, the research is done by the Questionnaire ofAlienation for Adolescent, on a sample of409left behind junior highschool students were investigated in two rural middle schools of Zhejiang province Yongjia County. Research shows that:(1)Rural left behind junior high school students sense ofalienation overall level does not exceed the average value, meanvalue is the highest in the alienation of living environment, thelowest is the family alienation;(2) Rural left behind junior highschool students sense of alienation overall level have nosignificant difference in sex;(3) Rural left behind junior highschool students sense of alienation and the overall level of eachdimension in the one-child there exists no significant difference;(4)Rural left behind junior high school students sense of alienationdimensions there are significant differences in grade,relatively, the third highest, second, first lowest;(5)Rural leftbehind junior high school students sense of alienation overall levelhave no significant difference in educational level of parents;On the basis of the literature, investigation and conversation,a set of group activity plans were designed to reduce the level ofalienation.24students from rural left behind junior high schoolstudents had been selected, randomly divided into the experimentalgroup and control group. The design of ante-post, experimental-controlgroup had been conducted. Subjects of the experimental group receivedeight consistent group interventions,100minutes twice a week; whilecontrol group received no intervention. The result showed that the intervention has greatly decreased the alienation of the members ofthe experimental group, however, there was no change in control group,that means it can reduce the sense of alienation level on rural leftbehind junior high school students.
