With the further development of the reform of teaching, a newinformation technology equipment, interactive whiteboard, integrating the function ofmodern multimedia and traditional blackboard, has become an important tool and wayfor classroom teaching. Therefore, it has been more and more widely used in education.Interactive Whiteboard, which has being used in the primary school classroom, drawsattention of most teachers. The teachers and students show great interest on it.Especially in the mathematics teaching in primary school, it shows its unique advantage:friendly interface and being convenient to operate. It can create rich scene of teachingthrough vivid images to make the abstract mathematical content clear. It also can changethe mathematical knowledge from static instilling into to dynamic communication withthe help of multi-media. Its interactive function makes the classroom full of vitality andvividness as well.According to the present situation of using the interactive whiteboard in the primaryschool, the author selects some typical cases to study and analyze. The effectiveness ofintegrating interactive whiteboard and the primary school mathematics curriculum hasbeen studied according to the actual situation of teaching. On this basis the authorpresents some suggestion about improving the quality of classroom teaching with theinteractive whiteboard. The contents are illustrated as following:The first chapter focuses on the background and significance of this study. Thesecond chapter puts forward the contents and methods of this research basing on thepresent situation of domestic and foreign interactive whiteboard application and relatedtheories of education and cognition. In the third chapter, the characteristics ofmathematics and the teaching principle of using interactive electronic whiteboard inelementary school mathematics are discussed. This analysis concentrated on three aspects: suitability of the content, frequency of using and timeliness of the process. Thefourth chapter is the case study with the helping of the interactive electronic whiteboard, including teaching material analysis, situation analysis, teaching design, teachingimplementation process, etc. By means of questionnaire and data analysis andclassroom record analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of the whiteboard inclassroom teaching has been discussed. According to the data and information feedback, the fifth chapter presents the strategies to agree with the objectives of teaching when theinteractive whiteboard applied in primary school mathematic teaching. It alsosummarizes the gains and the shortage of this research, aiming to providing advice andreference for more frontline teachers.
