Moral education which is an important of school quality education plays a leading,powerful and guaranteed role in middle school students’ healthy growth andcomprehensive development. The political lesson is thought to be the main way to givemiddle school students moral education, but the effect isn’t so satisfying. That themethods of moral educationis out of date is undoubtedly an important reason.Chinese traditional culture has a long, broad and profound history, in which thetraditional moral education thought essence is of great value in ancient times, and in thecontemporary it has important reference. As the ancient enlightenment classis textbook,Disciple rules had a deeply influence in the history and was known as the mostexcellent book to lead people to the right way, which is inseparable from its scientificmethods of moral education. Today, in the process of China’s social development intwenty-first century, we absorb the positive factors from a deep foundation of traditionalculture, learn from the educational theory and method of ancient China to enlighten thecontemporary moral education, and combine its useful part with the contemporarypolitics teaching practical characteristics in high school moral education, which is notonly the need of moral education itself but also inevitable development of times.In this paper we insist on the Marx’s viewpoint, method, with dialecticalmaterialism and historical materialism world outlook and methodology as the guide. Inaccordance with the “critical inheritance, discarding the dross and selecting the essential,making the past the present, comprehensive innovation” principle to examine multiplevalue of the traditional initiatory reading materials, we study the moral educationmethods of Disciple rules to improve the scientific nature and effectiveness of moraleducation in the ideological and political education in middle school and provide a useful reference for innovative methods of moral education of Ideological and politicaleducation in middle school.
