Moral And Culture Value Characteristics Of Disciple Rules

Disciple Rules written by Li Yuxiu who is a Qing dynasty scholar, with its concise languages and common contents, it was widely accepted by people all over the country since it came out. And it inherits the Confucian’s intellectual tradition of Filial Piety and the integrity which is the best enlighten book for the students to develop great virtues since ancient times. The full text begins with "The students should firstly be filial to parents, show respect to brothers, speak with caution and be honest, love the all, and be close to the persons of great virtue. If they still have spare capacities, they can learn cultural knowledge." It converts the Confucian’s thought of traditional Filial Piety, caution and honest and charity to the specific rules. Through this research, the author hopes it can bring some references for resolving the problem of ethical issues in our transitional period.Based on the above views, we can use historical materialism, literature review to study Moral and cultural values of Disciple Rules from three aspects.The first part mainly discusses the performance of the moral and cultural values of Disciple Rules. On the one hand, Disciple is of inheritance and innovation, richness and nationality in content. On the other hand, Disciple Rules propose many effective methods,including environmental influence method, friends observationmethod, practicing method, heart-searching method etc.In the second part, we analyze the performance of the moral andcultural values of Disciple Rules and summarize the characteristic,including simplicity, vividness, universality, and practicality.The third part is the conclusion of the paper, after analyzing thecharacteristics of the moral and cultural value and rationalextraction, we can easily draw the conclusion that Disciple Rulescan still provide with us some benefits for ethical issues in thetransition period.
