This study aims to study the general characteristics of the pupils self-concept andpeer relations, self-concept and peer relations in gender and grade differences, and therelationship between pupils self-concept and peer relations.The research object of this study was to chongqing city proper of two schools fifthgrade and sixth grade students, a questionnaire420, get393valid questionnaires, thequestionnaire recovery rate was93.6%. Income data using SPSS17.0statistical analysis,the main use of statistical methods have an independent sample t-test, correlationanalysis and regression analysis. After analysis research results are as follows:1.pupils’ self-concept development good, boys scored significantly higher thangirls in confidence and self.2.non only child self achievement scores were higher than those of the only child.3.the fifth grade students family self scored significantly higher than the sixthgrade students.4.types of companion relationship level needs to be improved, in sex, only child ornot, there is no significant difference in grade.5.self concept of self, physical self, self, self achievement, self, self, peer classconfidence and self and peer relationship has significant negative correlation.6self concept can positively predict children’s peer relationship, self concept andmore active, peer relationship. Predictive ability from high to low dimension are classself, physical self, family self.
