English writing is not just writing, but the combination of multiple intelligence, which includes linguistic intelligence, musical intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, and interpersonal intelligence. It can improve the comprehensive ability of using language. But this not means that all the multiple intelligence should be used in every process of writing. The different students decide the different potentials and learning styles. That’s the reason why every students use the different intelligence in the process of English writing.With the guide of multiple intelligence theory, the research is based on the teaching processes of English writing in senior high school. There are two classes to compare with. Both of the two classes have the same English teacher. The English teacher designs the activities with the multiple intelligence theory in one class, while the teacher takes the traditional teaching method in another class. What’s more, the teacher takes the PEP Book1Unit2English around the world as an example of a lesson design.Before the research, in order to make sure there exist the comparability of English writing level between the two classes, the author makes a survey and analyzes the data afterward. The author analyzes the level of the multiple intelligence by the multiple intelligence measuring tables. The teaching of English writing is based on the findings, With the guide of multiple intelligence theory, the author takes the multiple intelligences teaching English writing in the first of a semester. After the practice, the author compares the comprehensive ability of English writing and score. In addition, the author comes up with some problems which should be paid attention to when teaching in class. At the same time, the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.At last, the author comes to inspirations. She not only puts forward the limitation of this research but also comes up with the hope of an application of Multiple Intelligence to writing classes in Senior High Schools.
