The mathematics teaching design is that Teachers should analyze thespecific teaching content according to the characteristics of themathematics itself, follow the basic theory and rules of teaching andlearning mathematics from the characteristics and actual situation ofstudents, integrate curriculum resources using the systematical viewpointand method, formulate basic scheme of teaching activities according to thecurriculum standard. And teachers should reflect on, modify and completethe preliminary design. The mathematics teaching design is the process inwhich teaching activity is planned and decided systematically. Mathematicsteaching design will help the majority math teachers of secondary schoolsselect and organize teaching content rationally use the reasonable teachingstrategies and write the optimal teaching program. Furthermore, teachingdesign can guide the teaching practice, carry out the teaching activities,find problems in the teaching process and improve teaching standards. TheMath teaching design plays an important role and it guarantees the effectiveteaching in class. At present there is a phenomenon that the importance ofteaching design is still ignored more or less during the Math teaching insenior high middle school. It is frequently seen that the lack of effectiveteaching design contributes to inefficient teaching result. Due to this fact,the investigation of the mentalities and methods of Math teaching design toimprove the teaching efficiency is becoming especially important andneeded.On the basis of a detailed introduction of the Math teaching designand the related concepts of action research, taking the practicalconsiderations in teaching as starting point, in this paper we take both“Ellipse and its standard equation”,“properties of ellipse and simplegeometries” as examples on which we do research separately. When doingthis we also considered about the guidance of the Math teaching andlearning theory as well as the requirement of the new curriculum standards. We do the instructional design and implement teaching throughthe analysis of the teaching content and learning situation. In the research,we mainly apply action research method, observation method and interviewmethod to collect the classroom feedbacks of the students, reflect afterteaching and raise new questions, then redesign the teaching andimplement action research according to the questions we raised. Thus wedrew the conclusion of the advantages and disadvantages of the teacher’steaching centered as well as the student’s learning centered teachingdesigns. By doing this, try to find an efficient way to enhance both teachingefficiency and learning efficiency of students and provide some practicalexperience for the improvement of teaching quality in the Math class.The followings are the conclusions of this paper:Firstly:Math teaching method should make full preparation of twoaspects in advance one is analysis of teaching materials, the other isanalysis of students.Secondly: During the teaching, we use comprehensive teachingmethod.Thirdly:Instructional design is mainly based on the problem inquiry.Fourthly: The action research is a continuing process of theconstruction and reflection.By all accounts, we get two inspirations about improving teachingefficiently and teacher professionalization.
