The new geography curriculum reform and more focus on students’ self-learningability, the ability to explore cooperation and sense of innovation, based on this, the caseteaching method widespread attention and get active use, and quality is the key factor inthe case of the successful application of case teaching method. Therefore, how to designsuitable for the needs of teaching geography classroom teachers case is a matter ofcommon concern. PEP(People’s Education Press) edition of high school geography3asan example, focusing on case design steps, and through teaching experiments testing thefeasibility of design steps in order to further deepen the theoretical and practical casestudy design.Part I: IntroductionThis section describes the major theoretical and practical significance of highschool geography teaching case design research background and research; reviewresearch status at home and abroad, as well as related research study of the problems atthis stage, to provide new ideas for the paper; brief description of the purpose andthesis content, and research ideas and methods.Part II:Basis for designing of high school geography teaching caseTheoretical and practical basis for the major part of high school geographyteaching cases designed for system analysis. First expounded the theory of multipleintelligences, situated learning theory, the main point of the geographical concept of thenew curriculum and guidance for this article; second section describes thecharacteristics and shortcomings of the compulsory three PEP geography textbook case,as well as guidance and Implications for the design of the case.Part III:Steps for designing of high school geography teaching caseThis section is the core of this paper, based on the analysis of case studies anddesign problems and the design is based on the four steps of the high school geographyfocuses on teaching case design (setting goals, collecting material, writing content,setting up problems), and each step of the method of operation and the problem should be noted, and gives specific teaching cases are described and validated.Part IV:Experiments on case design for high school geography teachingAccording to the major steps of the high school geography teaching cases weredesigned to teaching experiment. And through student questionnaires and teacherquestionnaires to analyze quantitative and qualitative data on the experimental results,concluded reflection.Part V:ConclusionThis part of the text of the summarized briefly, to further clarify the main results ofthe paper and point out problems in the future study and practice to be in the study.
