An investigation, for parent-child relationship of students in two private reformatoryschools show that students in reformatory school have much difficulty in parent-childrelationship. According to a survey made in a school in Shanghai, parent-child conflict is themost confusing question for them. Many previous research told that parent-child attachmentmakes great influence on children’s or adolescents’ behavior in future, which indicateschildren or adolescents with secure parent-child attachment have less emotional andbehavioral problems. External factors are considered more easily than internal psychologicalfactors. Thus the paper is intervened through Parent-child Interaction Therapy in quality andquantity research methods on basis of attachment theory,to explore how the current situationof parent-child relationship of reformatory school is and whether the training PCIT affectsparent-child attachment. The program was designed on basis of PCIT in America, and was adapted according toadolescents’ specific characteristics. The research is made about5months, and the trainingwas reinforced from October to December and measured by the parent-child questionary andparent-child attachment scale. The final evaluation was through others’ report and selfevaluation and follow-up evaluation. The paper is consisted of three parts, of which the firstpart, including one to three chapters, tells about the background, reasons, targets and literaturereview as well as the reason design and content. The second part as the most significant partexplains how the research is made and the result is. The last one is about conclusion of thewhole research and tells us the the limitations and some suggestions about the followingresearch in the future. The result as follows:1. A survey of parent-child relationship about over370students in reformatory schools. This part adopts descriptive analysis, t test in order to investigate the current situation of parent-child relationship in students with EBD. Furthermore, the results shows that more thaneighty percent students have a relatively bad relationship, who have worse situation thanfather’in relative to mother’. Meantime, the female’s problems differs from the males.2. Secondly, interview method is adopted in the paper to explore family interaction, andthe paper is analyzed by generic analysis and scenario analysis. As a result, the intervieweehad much problems in family interaction, such as lack of communication and emotionalexpression and little support and identity from family and so on.3. Finally, the last research centered on how PCIT is implemented to enhance attachmentbetween parents and children. The consequence is valued in different ways, including others’evaluation, self-evaluation and self-report as well as the Parent-child Scale measured inregular time. At last, the result shows that PCIT greatly improves parent-child relation andattachment. Speech communication, emotion sharing, active listening obviously influencesparent-child attachment; in addition, the female got more obvious progress than the male.
