Social Work Involves In The Home Care Hospice Service Of The Advanced Cancers

In recent years, because of the environment and lifestyle, there is an upward trendin mortality of cancer, tumor hospitals could not afford so many patients with advancedcancer health and care services, hospice care developed in China now.Home careHospice Services as an extension of the hospital, is on the rise nationwide. Social workwith professional methods can provide professional the theory and practice of homehospice. Previous studies more focus on aspects such as medicine, nursing, to exploremeasures to relieve patients’ pain, thus helping effect is restricted. In this case, he HomeCare Hospice Service gets the favor of professional social work with the uniqueadvantages.This paper based on the medical social work,via surveying the Home Care HospiceService of the Guizhou Province Tumor Hospital to get the basic case. Through thesurvey, there are troubles in the work: the relevant social support, lacking of professionalmedical social workers and adequate funds, lacking of professional knowledge of hospicecare, ignoring the emotional and psychological counseling. Home Care Hospice Servicehas been used in the practical social work, but the effect of intervention is not obvious.The author selects two cases to analysis. While the data collection process andservice process are at the same time, the author puts the assessment and services of thedirector into the same process. Under the guidance of the concept of social work, theauthor implements the service process with professional methods, the basic information,the particularity and service requirements, with director centered. Finally, aiming at thehome care hospice service, the author put forward for the development of nursingservices and improve the relevant policies and regulations, to set up the professionalsocial work team, mobilize social forces to expand the social support, to strengthen thefamily support and enhance the better effect of nursing services, intensify efforts topromote the medical insurance, make the patient has the resources practice dignity death,etc.
