The latest cancer data released by China National Cancer Center in 2017 showed that 10000 people were diagnosed with cancer every day.Among them, the growth trend of colorectal cancer is obvious. It is one of the top five cancers with morbidity and mortality. With the deepening and development of China's reform and opening up,our country is changing from a food and clothing to a well-off society.People's quality of life is improving and the care for the dying stage is also increasing. However, the hospice care in our country starts late and the gap between supply and demand is very large. The case work can provide comprehensive care of body and mind, life and health for patients and their families to solve problems and improve the quality of their life, which will play a very good intervention role in hospice care.In the case study part of this paper,a hospice care service for advanced rectal cancer patients is taken as an example.Data collection was conducted by literature review, unstructured interview and participant observation.Under the guidance of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and social support theory,I provide early, middle, late and follow-ups four phases' service for the client. The quality of life of the patient and her family members was improved,so the goal of hospice care reached. After introducing the practice process,I summarize the problems in practical activities. In the end,the model and strategy of the entire service process is summarized.Providing "whole-people,full-time,whole-family" hospice case work services for patients with advanced rectal cancer can allow them to calmly and comfortably complete the final journey of their life journey. The hospice care service has achieved good results, and the satisfaction of the patient and her family is very high. However, due to the lack of medical knowledge and limited life experience,I inevitably find myself at a loss in the service process. Therefore, this article explores the experience and deficiencies of hospice care for patients with rectal cancer, and hopes to provide some reference for medical social workers in the formulation and implementation of hospice care services at the current stage.I hope that related people can provide better quality hospice care services for people who need.
