The Intervention Of Community Social Work To "shi Du" Family Under The Perspective Of Empowerment

Since1980,China began to implement the family planning policy,which caused asignificant reduction in the number of children in the family, and many families had onlyone child.Parents paid more attention to their children,which rised the chid’s status intheir family.The children became more important for their parents.“Shi Du”familymeans that the family comply with the nation’s policy and only have one child,and theonly child die because of the natural disasters、accidents or diseases,such family is called“Shi Du”family.Now the amount of the group is big,as vulnerable group,the “ShiDu”family have many problems in the term of function、development and contactsbecause of the history、policy and social systems and so on.It have a big impact not onlyon family but also on community and even our nation.We must give them enoughattention and help them to recovery.This thesis is based on the two cases and the summary of previous study.These twofamilys are both “Shi Du”family,one is in the city,anther is in the village.There aremany diffrences in the two family because of the diffrences on the living environmentand family relationship.But losing their children is a deathful blow for both of them.It isknow to all us,“Shi Du”problem is a social problem,and we must use the power of oursociety to help them.So this essay is going to study using the Community Work tointervene this two family.Also this thesis give the point of view that we can use theempowerment theory and community social work to intervene such families.Theobjective of this thesis is trying to find a model or method to solve the problems of “ShiDu”family.The paper includes:“Shi Du”family’s current situation and reaon、the CommunityWork for the “Shi Du”family’s intervention under the empowerment theory、intervention program、review and summary.
