With China’s economic development and its rising international influence, more andmore comprehensive games have been held here, which produce profound effects on its economyand society. Sports events have attracted more public attention and participation with the successof Beijing2008Olympic Games. It has been one of the hot topics in academic sports research onhow to organize comprehensive games scientifically and reasonably.Current studies on this topic start from the external and macroscopic perspective by wayof literature consultation and comparisons between different games, which lack variety inperspectives and micro studies on details. Taking Shenzhen26thSummer Universiade,2011as anexample, this paper depicts a further study on competitive organization of Chinese comprehensivegames from aspects of time, Shenzhen spirit and organizing power. By literature consultation andlogic analysis, the author analyzes the organizing mechanism in details and provides suggestionson organizing such games in China so as to make contributions to adaptive and effectivecompetition organizing mode.This paper is divided into four parts. Part one presents problems of current research,explaining the purpose and significance of the thesis. It also puts forward some new researchmethods. Part two focuses on the research objects and methods, such as literature consultation,experts interviews, case study and comparative analysis. The author explores adaptive organizingmode in China by studying Shenzhen26thSummer Universiade,2011.In part three, this paper first briefly reviews the development of competition organization of Chinese competitive games and introduces committee mode and stadium operationmode separately. Then it explains the reason why committee mode is transformed into stadiumoperation mode and displays advantages of the latter from aspects of changes in perception,diversification of interests, characteristics of modern sports, security factors and post-gamespersonnel placement. In the end, by studying Shenzhen26thSummer Universiade this paperdepicts its main stages, including tasks and key points of each stage. It also analysescharacteristics of each stage and corresponding organization structures.Part four concludes as follows: competition organization is the core task of everycomprehensive game and stadium operation mode is presently more scientific and effective. Thefocus of pre-match preparation is to formulate scientific and rational competition schedule andthen to process tasks which includes stadium building, personnel planning, financial budgeting.During the game conversion stage, the main task is organizing series of test matches before theopening ceremony so as to examine each preparatory work. When the game starts, the primary jobis making sure the efficiency of the command system in order to complete each task. Shenzhen26thSummer Universiade has created a new organizing mode by the successful combination oforganizing committee, executive committee and executive board.
