Profitable training organization includes long-term and short-term basketballcourses, summer camps, training centers or clubs. They improve children’s basketballskills, theoretical knowledge and in return, they charge certain amount of money fromthe children’s parents.Wuhan is a central city of China, and basketball training is developing rapidly.More and more Basketball training organizations have been set up. This paper usesmethods such as literature, questionnaire, interview and mathematical statistics toresearch on the operation of those organizations. The author intended to put forwardtheoretical reference for the development of children’s basketball training organizationsin Wuhan. The study reached the following main conclusions:1Most Wuhan Children Basketball training organizations are mainly distributedin the city. Ways for publicity and promotion are simple, most of which are throughpropaganda banners and printing leaflets or group promotions. With the developmentof training organizations, the number of participants has increased every year, and theorganizations owners are confident about this industry.2Basketball-oriented training organizations are minority, basketball-trainingvenue are good, but few has its own training venues for training. Coaches are young,highly educated, full-time degree with high mobility and less working experience.Children are mainly from primary school and junior high school, and boys accountedfor the vast majority. The main reasons why they train basketball are to grow taller anddevelop an interest. The training frequency is1~2courses a week. What parentsemphasize most are the training organizations’ technical levels, sponsors and trainingfacilities.3Developing advantages: strong economic base in Wuhan and appropriate culture;a much room for improvement. Developing disadvantages: small-scale, singleinvestors; less funding channels, publicity is not enough; training is not standardized. 4Development ideas for training organizations: schools combined, makecooperation with schools; pay much attention to coaches and ensure the quality oftraining; seek government policy support to accelerate the development scale; createbrand events, and expand publicity and attract more students; strengthen traininginstitutions standardized management, and take the road of sustainable and healthydevelopment.
