The latest Subject Standard for Senior Mathematics point out that it is one of the basic goals for thehigh school mathematics teaching to improve the student’s ability including not only the ability of finding,analyzing and solving problems but also the communicative competence and the skills of the mathematicalexpression. In recent years, the survey on the ability of mathematical language for the senior high schoolstudents exists in the examination papers frequently. The mathematical language, as the carrier of themathematical knowledge and the thinking, is a useful tool to study, teaching, communicate and solvingproblems. So, it is the important goal of studying and teaching for the senior high school students tocultivate the ability of mathematical language.Mathematical linguistics’ research has become mathematics education research gradually the hot topic,regardless of has obtained the numerous research results from the breadth in the depth. With the deepeningof the study, the senior high school mathematical language is abstract and rigorous and it plays the criticalroles in solving the mathematical problems especially the transformation and constructing ability. Hence, itis more and more important in mathematical problem solving, especially in the transformation andconstruction of mathematics language, which indicates the idea of conversion, method of combination ofnumeral and form, and thought of model construction. The improvement of the mathematical languageability not only convenience the mathematical commutation but also improve the efficiency of solving themathematical problems. Mathematic language is one of Math’s essential characteristics. Develop goodmathematical language ability is not only a mathematical teaching goal, is also a prerequisite for solvingmath problems.In actual mathematical teaching, close contact with students and mathematics are mainly embodiedin mathematical problems solving and the math examination. So the thesis emphasizes and analyzesmathematical language in college entrance examination of mathematics, and shows the importance ofmathematical language ability to teachers and students clearly in order to arouse their attention of teachingand learning mathematical language. At first, the thesis combining actual condition introduces some researches about mathematicallanguage in recent years and the meaning of the thesis. Then the thesis analyses and includes theclassifications and characters of mathematical language in high school. Combining some theories inpsychology and pedagogy, the essay states the meaning of mathematical language ability and mathematicalproblem solving in high school. According to the mathematical problems in college entrance examinationof mathematics, analyzes and includes the effect and significance of mathematical language ability inmathematical problem solving in high school. Let teachers and students recognize the characters, charmsand importance in problem solving of mathematical language ability, and then pay attention to improve anddevelop the mathematical language ability in their mathematics teaching and learning. At last, on the basisof psycho-pedagogy, my internship experience and the results of interviewing excellent teachers, the authorcomes up with some feasible suggestions of cultivating mathematical language ability. And according tothis suggestions set mathematics class in practice, good results have been achieved. Expects it has areference value in mathematical teaching and learning in high school.
