A Study About The Efficiency Of Administration At Universities

Ordinary university is an important basis to educate excellent talents, whose quality concerns greatly with the development of higher education. The efficiency of administration at ordinary universities has great effect on both the efficiency of the whole school and influence the development of education and procedure of modern construction. People always pay great attention to administration at ordinary universities, however, for a long time, the ordinary universities in our country stick to the old way of thinking and working for they have sufficient educational resources, some administrative departments are unable to adapt to changing social affairs and adopt very backward methods, thus its efficiency and ability to handle relevant business are relatively poor. Under the new circumstance caused by the education reforms at home and international, there is a new challenge in front of the administration at ordinary universities."How to strengthen the administration at ordinary universities""how to enhance the efficiency of administrative departments at ordinary universities "" how to fully motivate the staff and combine different parts of a university into a unity with order and high efficiency""how to provide efficient services to persons of ability" have turned out to be a question about the development of higher education.In this article, I will start with my experience and understanding about administration at ordinary universities, and conclude the following opinions:Firstly, I will conclude the meaning and feathers of university administrations, and the meaning of studying how to improve their efficiency.Secondly, I will study the current situation of the efficiency of university administrations, and analyze the causes of the common phenomenon of low efficiency, mainly from ideas, administrative system, and the personal reasons of administrators. Furthermore, I proposed some solutions to improve the efficiency of university administrations:from my prospective, on one hand, changing ideas and reestablish a sense of services are the premise to make improvement; creative mode and methods of working1in university administrations are the fundamental insurance. To implement, it is necessary to improve current system of university administrations, establish and strengthen reasonable administrative rules, make stronger decision-making and supervisor policy; apply open system of school affairs; coordinate communication more often; on the other hand, the improvement of the quality of administrative staff is vital:in this essay, I conclude the qualities that an qualified administrative staff should posses, such as their mind and attitude toward their jobs, their working capacity, mental status, and ability to control emotions, etc. It is useful to improve efficiency of administration by establishing reasonable performance system which can be used to manage its staff.The study about the efficiency of administration at ordinary universities will not only broaden and enrich the range of administrative studies, but also find a new way and method for university administration, therefore, it is practical and has relatively high value. So we need to attach great importance to the study in this field.
