Job satisfaction is the feeling and reaction of employee to the working environment.It is the comparison between the expected work and the actual value.The job satisfaction of the administrative staff is an important factor of the management for the colleges and universities.In this study,we are going to investigate on the administrative staff in four universities from Shenzhen through in-depth interviews and participatory surveys.We find the situation of the job satisfaction in administrative staff now and analyze the reasons and then try to make suggestions for the improvement of job satisfaction and provide reference for the construction of efficient administrative service team.Chapter One which forms the basis of this paper,introduces on the research background,research program,provides an overview on the job satisfaction theory and its application in China and abroad.Chapter Two focuses on the data collected through interviews and analyzes the situation of the job satisfaction of administrative staff through investigation.Chapter Three analyzes the reasons.Chapter Four gives suggestions that can improve on the job satisfaction and Chapter Five summarizes the study.The conclusion of this study is that the working morale of the administrative staff in the reform has changed greatly,the job satisfaction level is at a general satisfactory level now.The satisfaction part lies in the working environment,working relationship,organizational atmosphere,the dissatisfaction part is the workload,work stress,pay and benefits and job status.The working condition of the administrative staff directly affects the operation model and the working efficiency of the university.It should actively seek improvement in job satisfaction through social,university and individual so as to be more effective in the teaching and research work of the university.
