Research On The Contemporary College Students’Cultivation Of Social Responsibility

With the development of globalization, our country is facing the task of further modern transformation. Along with the challenges of the diversification of interests and values, the development of the market economy, the informatization of network and the development of social democracy, a task that improves social construction is putting forward. People are the main part of society, and if we want to cultivate society, we must cultivate qualified people. Meanwhile, every individual in the society should have his own social responsibility, be equal with each other, and undertake the unshirkable responsibility to realize other people’s and even the whole society’s public values.As the specific social group, contemporary college students are the communicators of modern civilization, are the participants and practitioners of politics, economy, culture and society, also are the important powers of socialist democracy’s development. Cultivating contemporary college students’ social responsibility is the "positive energy" to nurture their talent, improves the whole society’s responsibility and promotes the healthy development of the harmonious society constantly.This essay describes cultivating social responsibility of college students, who are the future of our country, is responsible for our state, nation and our future. At the same time, it elaborates the significances and necessities of the selected topic from four aspects including being beneficial to highlight the pertinence of ideological and political education. Then, this paper discusses relevant concepts involved it from five parts:responsibility and responsibility consciousness, social responsibility and social responsibility consciousness, college students’ social responsibility, cultivation of social responsibility, cultivation of college students’ social responsibility. In Chapter Three, it explains the necessities of cultivating college students’ social responsibility. Then it states the achievements of cultivating social responsibility in our country these years. Moreover, it analyses some educational problems in cultivating current college students’ social responsibility, such as curriculum setting, teaching form, assessment system and cultivating targets, and also some problems in students, families and even our society. Finally, on the basis of the analysis, this thesis tries to establish a multi-level and all-around system for cultivating college students’ social responsibility in order to confirm social responsibility consciousness of current college students, who are the masters of this society; improve students’ ability to fulfill social responsibility; and contribute to our country’s socialist development and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
