With the development of the education system reform, our country’s education system has been improved to a certain, however, the current our country compulsory education phase of the PE teacher vacancy more than300000, many schools have Chinese, maths and other professional teachers with excessive, but a serious shortage of the configuration of the physical education teachers exist. So, there is the phenomenon with the establishment of Chinese or maths teacher for physical education teachers. Based on the deep research on the current teacher resource situation, teaching method and scientific research status of key middle school physical education in Taiyuan, the objective of this paper is to analyze the reasons for the PE teacher resource shortage in key middle school in Taiyuan and provide suggestion on the’development of physical education in key middle school in Taiyuan with the methodology of literature review, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. This research shows that:1. The proportion of PE teachers is small compared with teachers of other subject, among which female PE teachers is rather less compared with male PE teachers. PE teachers, as a group, resume an appropriate age composition with most of PE teachers are comparatively young. As for the education level, PE teachers with master diploma share a small proportion, while the distribution of professional rank&title is reasonable. However, the academic background of PE teachers is relatively simple since most of the PE teachers graduate from the same universities within Shanxi Province.2. The range and depth of the knowledge of PE teachers as a group is not satisfactory. Moreover, the further education and training opportunity from the government education authorities for PE teachers is far from enough. Therefore the knowledge renewal among PE teachers is rather poor.3. The overall physical education teaching quality is satisfactory with certain development area. However due to the serious shortage of PE teacher in high school, most of the PE teachers suffers from the heavy workload. Moreover the PE teacher resource shortage and heavy workload is getting even worse. 4. Most physical education teachers pay a great attention to the physical education teaching and study in classroom, but it also needs to improve in sports teaching. And at the same time, the scientific research enthusiasm of the teachers is not very good, sports scientific research is also too few and sports teachers scientific research strength is obviously insufficient.5. Due to the lack of fund investigated into physical education, athletic field and sports equipment updating is very slow, which leads to the amateur physical exercise stuck in the strait of small scale, few people involved and small frequency.6. Now our PE teacher’s ideological quality is higher, their political resolve is firm, and professional ethics and professional spirit is better. They are responsible for sports teaching jobs. But there are some teachers due to different reasons are less enthusiastic for their sports education career.For the above listed for Taiyuan city key middle school sports teams or weak factor analysis, this paper also discusses the causes of the certain analysis, respectively from the Taiyuan city key middle school PE teachers concept of education, scientific research ability, accept continuing education situation, learn leadership factors, working conditions, salary, their work ability and the professional spirit of sports teachers or weak causes are analyzed in detailed. Also on the basis of the reasons that produce or weak reasons put forward the corresponding constructive Suggestions:Strengthen to the introduction of sports talent, appropriate to adjust the proportion of male and female physical education teachers’structure. Broadening the channels for the channels for the introduction of the school for sports funds; To strengthen the construction of sports teachers constantly; Strengthen the enhancement for the PE teachers’ professional knowledge, Emphasize the ability development of development for the work of physical education teachers; To continue the reform of education system and build physical education teachers to strengthen sports teachers’professional ethics and so on.
