The Present Situation Investigation And Analysis Of National Defense Education In Hubei Provincial Universities

Since the founding of The People’s Republic of China in65years, fromthe military thought of the generations of leaders can be seen, the party andthe state attach great importance to the development of the national defenseeducation. As citizen education, the national defense education is an activitythat through organized citizens learn national defense knowledge to improvethe awareness of national defense, arouse the attention to state and nationalinterests, enable people to establish the concept of national honor above allelse, and then improve the quality of defense and construction of themotherland. To carry out national defense education in universities is a lawand also the basic rule objective requirement of education. At present,provincial universities have become the main part of higher educationsystem, so provincial universities effect is particularly important work in thenational defense education.Hubei province is located in the middle of our country, for a long time,its unique geographical position and the factors of the social, historical, andcultural make Hubei Province in economy, education and other respectshave remarkable achievements. This study selected15Hubei provincialuniversities administrative leadership in charge of the national defenseeducation, military teachers and students as the research object, using the methods of questionnaires, expert interviews, analysis and mathematicalstatistics and other research methods to investigate the present situation andanalyze the main problems of provincial universities defense education inHubei, and finally to explore the specific suggestions to carry out nationaldefense education in Hubei provincial universities.The paper includes six parts.
