The Research Of University Students’ Moral Personality Consciousness

Currently, the problems of moral personality exist on some university students.The problems generating students’ moral personality are the result of external factorswhich include the education of family, school as well as the social environment andinternal factors that the students themselves work together. This paper argues that theinternal problems rooted in the consciousness of college students’ moral character isnot high. Therefore, in order to improve students’ moral character,their moralpersonality consciousness must be improved.Based on this comprehension, this paper defines the "consciousness of moralpersonality".That is, moral consciousness is the main character in itself associatedwith the relationship between ethics, morality campaign, people’s good nature as thebasis, by playing the main initiative constantly to achieve a kind of realm with highconsciousness towards a sense of moral and ethical conduct. This realm constitutesthe moral need, consciously and unconsciously moral awareness, consciously moralemotions, consciously moral will and consciously and unconsciously moral beliefand ethical behavior or other elements,which are featured with self-identity,self-controllability, self-criticism, self-improvement and other.On the basis of understanding the basic connotation of moralpersonality,firstly,empirical researches are conducted to reveal that theconsciousness of students’ moral character and moral deficiencies in the need ofmoral cognitive biases, moral apathy, weak moral will, the conflicts of moral beliefs,issues such as ethical behavior shaken are all the problems among the universitystudents.Besides, the causes of the problem are analyzed from the points of viewsuch as the lack of moral consciousness from family education, the lag of schoolmoral education consciousness, the lack of social atmosphere of moralconsciousness,the capacity constraints of self-consciousness and so on.Finally, thepaper proposes the requirements and specific methodology measures to enhance theawareness of students’ moral character...
