Ever since the reform of Chinese teaching, relatively great change has taken place in the overall appearance of the subject teaching while the reform in drama teaching stays stagnant. Most of the drama practice activities are spontaneous, so there is a lack in not only basic regulations but also relevant research. Actually, extracurricular practice activities in drama teaching, which helps develop students’ abilities in many aspects and contributes to students’ self-recognition, are both meaningful and of great value. The operation of the activities is affected by many factors such as schools, teaching materials, teachers and students. Teachers, acting as instructors, organizers and participants, play vitally important roles therein. Well-prepared both theoretically and practically, teachers should carry out instructions according to different forms of activities such as research learning and community activities. What’s more, assessments on teachers should be given after the activities. Students’ overall abilities can be truly tested and assessed in forms of professional psychological questionnaire, audience questionnaire, seminars or interview, self-assessment/subjective evaluation and written examinations, which effectively dodge many unfavorable factors in the regular way of assessment in the examination-oriented education system. The exchanges and sharing between teachers and students can not only deepen teacher-students relationship but also awaken and encourage students for a better future.
