Compared with other disciplines,chemistry is a highly practical discipline.The knowledge of chemistry comes from practice and is finally applied to practice.As a practical activity,chemistry extracurricular activities can not only improve students' practical ability,but also stimulate students' interest in chemistry and cultivate students' scientific attitude and thinking.Therefore,the importance and role of chemistry extracurricular activities are self-evident.Since 2000,there haven't been many studies on extracurricular activities in chemistry,and there are still many theoretical studies,few specific investigations and practical studies.Based on this situation,this subject is a survey and practical research on the current situation of extracurricular activities in chemistry in Xianyang City where we are practicing.The full text is divided into six parts:The first part expounds the research background,purpose,significance,ideas and methods of this subject.The second part summarizes the research status at home and abroad,and puts forward the theoretical foundations that support the research of the subject,which are:the concept of extracurricular activities,Marxist dialectical materialist epistemology,multiple intelligence theory and constructivist learning theory.The third part is the status quo survey and result analysis,that is,the status quo of chemistry extracurricular activities in the study area,through the teacher questionnaire and the student questionnaire to investigate the current status of chemistry extracurricular activities in Xianyang City.The survey results show that: The development status is very optimistic,and the existing problems are: the school's lack of attention,the school's investment in extracurricular activities is less,and the lack of an evaluation system forchemistry extracurricular activities;teachers' lack of energy,backward teaching concepts,and lack of incentive mechanisms for teachers;Parents' lack of understanding and support;lack of innovation in the form of extracurricular chemistry activities.The fourth part is the teaching practice.This part is the teaching practice carried out on the basis of the status quo survey.It mainly carries out extracurricular chemistry activities in the experimental class.It is obtained by comparing and analyzing the changes of the experimental class and the control class before and after the experiment.:Carrying out extracurricular chemistry activities on a regular basis not only contributes to the improvement of students' achievements,so that students develop good learning attitudes and correct learning behaviors and habits,but also cultivates students' interest in chemistry extracurricular activities and improves students' ability to perform extracurricular chemistry.The fifth part is the general discussion,that is,the summary of the survey and practical research on the extracurricular activities of high school chemistry in Xianyang City,and on this basis,some countermeasures and suggestions are proposed,hoping to provide reference for the majority of first-line chemistry teachers.The sixth part is conclusion and reflection,which summarizes the conclusion of this study,and reflects on the shortcomings,hoping to do further research in the future teaching practice.
