Revolution of quality education and Elementary Education is a newchallenge to the physics teachers’ professional accomplishment.The quality level of physics teacher team not only decides the success orfailure of new physics curriculum revolution, but also affects the students’ futuredevelopment and destiny. The newly enacted "New physics CurriculumStandards" and " secondary School Teachers’ Professional Standards" in2011clearly state what basic philosophy, professional knowledge and expertise thesecondary school physics teachers should have, as well as what goals thestudents need to achieve under the new situation.Premised on " Secondary School Teachers’ Professional Standards" and"New Physics Curriculum Standards", I make the "The questionnaire on thesecondary school physics teacher’s professional development in Huadu District"from three dimensions of secondary school teachers’ professional standards:professional philosophy and ethics, professional knowledge, professionalcompetence, and Combined with the characteristics of secondary schoolphysics.This questionnaire includes the teacher’s basic situation, professionalunderstanding and knowledge, their attitude to the students and their behavior,teaching attitudes and behaviors, professional knowledge, basic teachingcapabilities, physics experiment teaching ability, teaching evaluation,communication and collaboration, reflection and development capabilities, and italso investigates the motivations and needs of teachers’ professionaldevelopment and the factors that affect their professional development. The questionnaire was made in134physics teachers in the middle schoolsof Huadu District, and the result was analyzed with SPSS19.0.The results showed that the development of physics teachers in HuaduDistrict high school was good at the following aspects: the attitude and behaviorto students, the education teaching attitude and behavior, professionalknowledge, basic ability of teaching, the basic ability of experimental operationand the guidance on the students’ experimental ability, communication andcooperation ability. The results also shows the teachers’ lack of the followingaspects: occupation of belonging, the knowledge of psychology and pedagogy,the cultivation of students’ self inquiry learning ability in physics experimentsteaching, assessment ability of education teaching, reflection and research etc.The survey also showed that the physics teachers in Huadu Middle School havestrong demand and desire for professional development, but developmentstatus is not optimistic. From investigation and analysis, I found impact ofHuadu District high school physics teacher professional development hasmainly the following reasons:(1)Teachers, workload and full of stress, are lack of professionaldevelopment and learning time and effort;(2) District government investment in education is not enough. Because ofthe low treatment, teachers are low of career satisfaction.(3) School evaluation mechanism is not perfect, inhibited teachers’professional development.(4) Teacher training are too less,or lack of efficacy and specificity.(5) Making a reasonable professional development planning, self-learningand self-reflection, play a key role in the professional development.In addition, combine the current situation in Huadu and theory of thephysics teachers’ professional development, the study present somecountermeasure and suggestion:(1) The government increases investment in education, improve thetreatment and status of teachers(2) Secondary schools adopt scientific management for teachers, optimizeevaluation system, and carry out the characteristics of school-based research(3)Teachers make a good plan for their own professional development, besteady in work, increase their educational research ability.
