In the context of globalization, cross-border higher education develop in anunprecedented speed. The number of students taken part in international mobilityincreased continuously and the forms of it became diverse increasingly,” Second SchoolExperience” is one of them.”Second School Experience” especially refers to university international educationexchange and cooperation, it collectively referred to students who have overseas learningexperiences. Mainly refers to the students by means of inter-school collaboration platform,During the undergraduate or graduate study, Within the stipulated time to the "secondcampus" in learning exchanges. The common forms enable students to acquire of thesecond school experience are:official intercollegiate exchanges and cooperationagreements, Participate in various international educational organization, Organizeoverseas activities, Exchange students, Collaborative Research, International students,etc.This essay attempts to analyze the impact of second school experience on studentdevelopment from the student perspective, using phenomenological research methods.One on one in-depth interviews to get the experience of the students who had secondschool experience, then use phenomenological research methods, extract the importantstatement from their experience, read and ponder the important statement, analysis thesignificance, disassemble the significance, composed theme as strings, analysis andcombine the strings, forming an exhaustive description, the exhaustive description is theimpact of second school experience on student development.The research come out that the changes in student performance on the changesoccurring individual students’cognition and emotion:In terms of cognition, students’ ability of foreign language, expression andcross-cultural communication have improved. besides, their capacity of Logic, reasoning,analysis, synthesis and critical thinking have also significantly increased, as well asprofessional competence and knowledge. thirdly, their learning ability, such as Independent learning, cooperative learning and inquiry learning have improved largely,putting more attention on learning and progress process. finally, they put emphasis on theLearning, application and practice of research methods.In terms of emotion,student’s worldview changes, by feelings of cultural differences,the angle of looking at things changed, accepted multiculturalism, sense of mutual respectbetween people, awareness of rights and equality of gender awareness becomes stronger,begun to take an international perspective, student’s philosophy changes, had morein-depth knowledge of themselves and the community, gained self-fulfilling sense ofaccomplishment, had a relatively clear perception of the future or planning, had a strongsense of responsibility to the society, emphasis on altruism and harmonious interpersonalrelationships, interpersonal communication skills and the recognition of cultural diversityin the body becomes stronger, enhanced national pride and national pride, have a strongsense of belonging to the motherland; students’ sense of worth changes, take moreemphasis on usability and practicality.
