College students’ morality tendency in Social Transitional Period of China is atremendous problem with Chinese characteristics.The only generation’s moralsocialization includes double duties,that is,man’s socialization and the transformationof their social role.In this period, college students’ morality tendency changes fromfanatical political consciousness to value orientation diversification, with their strongsense of independence and competition, tranditional morality and modern spiritexiting together,enhanced consciousness of self responsibility,social morality,democracy and legal,emphasizing reason,persuing individual freedom,and dealingwith concreat matters relating to work. All these show us the good condition of theirmorality tendency,that is,positive,healthy and upwarsd.However,the contradictionsbetween the innermost feelings and the external force of a small number of students,have brought the distortion of their morality personality,distant, hostile,lack ofsympathy, fuzzy morality evaluation; Attaching importance to wisdom and makinglight of morality lead to some students’ mazing of morality personality,such as themissing of human spirit,ideals and beliefs.Influenced by utilitarianism, they dilute thepursuit of ideals and beliefs and pay great attention to self-development,all these haveled to the imbalance of their morality personality.This paper starts from the macroscopic angle of view of morality socialization.Through Social Systematic Theory,Social Conflict Theory, Structural and FunctionalTheory,Social Field Theory,Cultural Vicissitude Theory,Morality InternalizationTheory and the Modernization Theory,combined with correlated theories and researchresults,e.g. Social Psychology, Educational Sociology, Moral Educational Sociology,and the related information and data collected such as reportage and experience ofmyself,this paper conducts qualitative and quantitative research from two planes ofthe social environment and living conditions,analyzes contemporary college students’morality tendency in Social Transitional Period,then studies the change of principalpart of their morality socialization,proposes the self and social remodeling ofmorality personality, and stresses the importance of moral education in colleges and universities.College students’ morality tendency in Transitional Period is determined by thejoint effort of the functional transformation of the principal part of moralitysocialization,including macroscopic environment,microscopic environment and thestudents themselves.Macro environment mainly refers to the distance betweenmaterial culture,institutional culture and spiritual culture,lack of the mainstream ofSocialist Morality System and shift of the control power of media.Microenvironmentincludes vicissitude of the function of family education,disintegrating of acquaintancesociety of neighbourhood community,the enhanced sub-civilization of the same agegroup,conflicts within network civilization,change the function of principal part ofeducation and innovation of higher education.Social transition calls for the rebuilding of college students’ moralitypersonality,setting up the lofty goal of morality value, strengthening moral cultivationin particular basic civilization consciously by persisting in community practie,engaging in introspection and being prudent when alone to establish the correct WorldOutlook and Outlook on Life, resist all kinds of adverse effects.The remodeling needsthe sufficient development of Socialist Market Economy,the construction of themainstream of Socialist Morality System,which takes the Eight Honors and the EightDisgraces as the primary coverage,the promotion of disseminating of excellent cultureto achieve the Third Revolution,that is,spiritual and cultural revolution,thestrengthening of the fundamental position of family education,paying attention to thethird-party contact of families,universities and students,fully regarding the principalposition of college students,reversing the current single one-sided view of talent,torealize dual structure of educational management.Nowadays moral reconstruction of higher education must revolve the goal ofmoral education,promote both the great cultural and the microcosmic one,establishnew concepts of moral education,reform the two courses,build up three-dimensionalnetwork moral education,solve the the problems in constructing the working group ofmoral education,develop mental health education,network education,and the teacher’sethics etc.
