Research On The Influence Of Mass Culture On The Socialist Core Values Of University Students And The Countermeasures

Nowadays, the social economic and technical levels are developing towards a newlevel and people are eager for richer cultural products to satisfy their spiritual needs,therefore, mass culture is booming rapidly under such double conditions. Mass culturalproducts which have a wide variety are becoming the essential part in people’s life from asthe embellishment of people’s life. Under the long-term influence, the bad conceptsincluded in mass culture such as money worship and hedonism are impacting andchanging people’s value orientation and living manner. The18thNational Congress of theCommunist Party of China concludes core socialist values in the form of “three proposals”for the first time and it requires the entire society to learn and practice core socialist valuesdeeply. Such leading of values not only makes sure of the development direction ofChinese socialism and it is good for the construction of national modernism as well as theharmonious development of the society, but also it satisfies Chinese people’s good pursuitof realizing Chinese Dream. However, concerning the current realistic status, thepopularity of mass culture brings the fluctuation of people’s views, which causes conflictsand frictions with the socialist ideals pursued by core socialist values.The paper takes undergraduates as the studying objects, under the frame of the realistconflict which mass culture is impacting and which core socialist values should realize itsleading effect, Investigate the construction method of college students’ core socialistvalues. Start with the deep analysis on the connotation and extension of mass culture andcore socialist values. Combine theory and reality based on the education investigation ofcollege students’ core socialist values and the various circumstances and problems duringthe creation process. The paper explores and discusses the construction of undergraduates’core socialist values from three aspects: to enhance the ideological education effect, topromote the force of mass culture on core socialist values and to shape the perfectpersonality of undergraduates.
