Language testing has various classification methods, in which both Thailand’sChinese college entrance examination PAT7.4and Chinese new HSK (level4) belong tolevel testing. Language testing is indispensable to ability testing on comprehension andmastery of vocabulary. In the view of language testing, the testing contents in the scopeof vocabulary tests are relevant to all the exam papers, and mastery of vocabulary is acritical part in Chinese learning.This paper discusses separately in7chapters. The first chapter is an introduction,which mainly describes the reasons for selection of subject, research status includingrelevant researches on Chinese HSK, Thailand’s PAT7.4, in addition with researchsignificance, content, approaches and corpus sources. Research on language testing.Theseccond chapter is a brief introduction on Chinese new HSK4and Thailand’s PAT7.4examination. It concentrates mainly on the introduction of exam questions on Thailand’sChinese college entrance examination PAT7.4and Chinese new HSK, and then sets forththeir testing properties, targets, contents, basis, questions, and time and font usage onpapers. The third chapter makes analysis on vocabulary tests in Thailand’s PAT7.4. Interms of exam questions of seven set of Thailand’s Chinese college entrance examinationPAT7.4, the chapter firstly makes statistical analysis on vocabulary applications ofThailand’s Chinese college entrance examination and then indicates words which surpassoutlines. Secondly, subject to the total vocabulary in textbooks Chinese Course Outline in2008and Experiencing Chinese, the comparison are made by exam questions ofThailand’s Chinese college entrance examination, finding out the application range ofvocabulary. Thirdly, on the basis of exam questions of the seventh Thailand’s Chinesecollege entrance examination PAT7.4it analyzes the vocabulary forms they apply havebeen analyzed. The fourth chapter makes analysis on vocabulary tests in New HSK (level4). In terms of exam questions of eleven set of Chinese New HSK(level4), the chapterfirstly makes statistical analysis on vocabulary applications of Chinese new HSK(level4)and then indicates words which surpass outlines. Secondly, subject to vocabulary collecting table of New Chinese Level Examination Outline HSK Level4, the chaptermakes comparison with exam questions in Chinese new HSK (level4) and finds out theapplication range of vocabulary. Thirdly, on the basis of exam questions of the eleventhChinese new HSK (Level4), it analyzes the vocabulary forms they apply have beenanalyzed. The fifth chapter is a comparative analysis between new HSK (level4) andThailand’s PAT vocabulary. By a comparative analysis on both total amounts of appliedvocabulary, it finds out various vocabulary forms and distribution characteristics ondifferent kinds of words which both apply. The sixth chapter is the existing problems andsuggestions. According to vocabulary and vocabulary range in textbooks includingExperiencing Chinese, New Chinese Level Examination Outline HSK Level4andThailand’s Chinese Course Outline in2008, it analyzes the existing problems of outlineon word-collection, then proposes suggestions to Chinese HSK and Thailand’s PAT7.4choose vocabuleries for test student,The seventh chapter, the conclusion. In the useof vocabulary, lexical scope, type of vocabularies and lexical features weresummarized and find out the differences between the two kinds of examination of theuse of vocabulary, and further presents the deficiency of the paper.
