A Research On The Thought Of The Women’s Right To Participate In Managing The State On “Shen Zhou Female Newspaper”

In the traditional Chinese autocratic monarchy society, the monarchical power, patriarchy and the authority of husband made up the trinity right mode. This right mode firmly cloistered the body and mind of Chinese women. Chinese women were in the bottom of social and they couldn’t pour out their feelings to anyone. After the Revolution of 1911, everything had been resuscitated in China. At the same time, the women of China were awakening and there uplift a wave of women liberation motion. The appearance of the sisterhood and the bloom of the newspapers for women are the products of this wave, and these were also the breakthrough of women liberation motion. The newspaper of sisterhood is the frontier for broadcasting the advancing thought.“Shen Zhou Female Newspaper” is concentrated on the female’s appeal of political participation. This thesis tries to analyze the wish of Chinese women for asking to partake politics and what they had done through the perspective of “Shen Zhou Female Newspaper” and other newspapers.The whole thesis is constituted by three parts. The first part is about the introduction of the newspapers for women in China from 1898 to 1918 including “Shen Zhou Female Newspaper”. From the End of Qing Dynasty, there existed a wave of female right and the newspaper for women was born and gradually strengthened. “Shen Zhou Female Newspaper” is the product of the time. The second part is about the problem of the women’s right to participate in managing the state. At that time, the female in China had already acquired the ability to judge the political situation, and they were very discontented about the situation of themselves. After learning the international women’s participation in government and political affairs, they had combined it with domestic situation and had explicated some deep views. The third part is the view of the women’s right to participate in managing state on “Shen Zhou Female Newspaper”. First, the “Shen Zhou Female Newspaper” is the upland on thought in that time and has its ascensive and bardian aspect. At the same time, it has its weak aspect. It mainly discusses the knowledge,One side, they propagated the advance theory on woman’s right. On the other side,they can’t rid the tie of traditional ethics. The similarity in the newspapers for women at that time is that their purpose on participation in managing the state has clear political inclination.
