Socialist Core Values In Curriculum Standard Chinese Textbooks (Experimental Version) Published By People’s Education Press

December 2013, CPC Central Committee promulgated Opinions on the Cultivation and Practice the Socialist Core Values The opinions declared that in terms of promoting the socialist core values, spiritual and cultural products of educating plays an important function. Chinese is a humanistic and applied subject. The humanity of Chinese performances as to spread knowledge and morality to students and make them to develop correct values. As the most direct media of knowledge, how textbooks reflect Socialist Core Values is very important.This article takes the curriculum standard Chinese textbooks (experimental version) published by People’s Education Press as the study sample, and will try to use the literature research, text analysis, the media bias theory advanced by Harold Adams Innis and the state ideology tools theory advanced by Louis Pierre Althusser to do the research. The research will from three aspects——the text, the structure of unit and the synthesized activity —— to analysis the Socialist Core Values in curriculum standard Chinese textbooks (experimental version) published by People’s Education Press. Then the author will give some suggestions to improve the curriculum standard Chinese textbooks.The purpose of the research is to improve the curriculum standard Chinese textbooks, find a balance between Chinese knowledge and ideological education, and make the curriculum standard Chinese textbooks adapt to the new education reform and the new curriculum standard better. In this way, the publishing and construction of curriculum standard Chinese textbooks will be better.
