The principal is a professional who performs the duties of school leadership and management.The authority of his discourse is related to the efficiency of school work and the effect of the implementation,which in turn affects the development of the school.At present,the research on the authority of principals is mostly theoretical and the focus is mostly on university principals.What is the authoritative question of school principals in managing schools in the compulsory education stage? The key issues discussed in this study include: How is the principal's authority in school management? What is its authority? How to rationally use the authority to manage schools? What are the characteristics?This study takes Z principal of W elementary school in Gansu Province as the research object.Z has continued to serve as the principal of the school for 13 years and has his own set of school management experience.He has an excellent reputation both inside and outside the industry.He has good typicality.In this study,a case-study method was used to carry out research.Specific methods used include interviews,observations,physical analysis,etc.And collating and analyzing the data obtained.With administrative authority,professional authority,and moral authority as the three-dimensional aspects,based on the perspective of Z,others and the author,through a specific example,presenting the process of using research authority to conduct school management.Summarizing and refining the characteristics and revelation in school management.The authority of Z is mainly composed of three aspects: In terms of administrative authority,using his own administrative power to lead all faculty and staff to plan school development,formulating a clear school running concept,establishing a modern school system,uniting outstanding teachers' team to establish leadership team,dealing with external relations with the public.In terms of professional authority,focusing on his professional growth,leading course teaching,leading the development of teachers.In terms of moral authority,setting an example,responsibility,fairness,integrity,doing as promised,having courage and strategy,loving life,and striving to build a community throughout the school.Based on the authority of the Z in the school management process,we learned a few revelations: people-oriented and governing school by law;choose the right person to reuse,decentralize his power;diligent study of good thinking,lead teachers to achieve professional growth;morally strengthening self-discipline,close and trusted public relations.
