It seems that authority and freedom are contradictory and entirely different,however, they are mutual influence and mutual premise. People would situate at authoritarianism, if they talk about authority without freedom. On the contrary, person may be misguided by doing what one wants, and result in indulgence of consequences,through talking about freedom without the authority. So do the teachers’ authority and students’ freedom, both of which are interconnected. Furthermore, teachers’ authority is the means of implementation of students’ freedom, and students’ freedom is the aim of the teachers’ authority. Without teachers’ authority, it is hard to get free for the student.In other words, the teachers’ authority promotes the students’ freedom, and makes students grow better. Nevertheless, reality of school education imposes too many restrictions and constraints on students. The main reason for that is unreasonable use of teachers’ authority, which results in student’s lack of freedom. Therefore, not only should we make sure the meaning of the teachers’ authority, but prevent the abuse of authority from limiting students’ freedom too.Actually, teacher-student relationship reflects in teachers’ authority. How we treat the teachers’ authority and students’ freedom is how we deal with the relationship between teachers and students. It features the tendency of alienation, the communication of teachers and students also gradually drifts apart, the relationship between teachers and students becomes blurred from originally lucid state. In this case, the teacher gradually loses their authority, meanwhile, students dazed at sea because of the lack of effective guidance. Consequently, under the emergency problems of the freedom of both teachers and students, it’s high time we adjusted the link between the two- the relationship between teachers and students. In the era of advocating a harmonious society, the harmonious relationship between teachers and students not only facilitates the reshaping of the teachers’ authority, but is also conducive to the development of students’ freedom. It’s significant to seek coexistence teachers’ authority with the students’ freedom in the harmonious relationship between teachers and students.First of all, through the analysis of the purpose of education and the currentsituation of schooling, this study leads to the reality of illiberality of students, for which the main reason is the restrictions on the unreasonable authority of school and teachers.On the basis of analyzing the previous research, it puts forward that building a harmonious relationship between teachers and students from the perspective of harmonious coexistence teachers’ authority with students’ freedom.Second, through the multidisciplinary interpretation of the relationship between teachers and students, from the point of the relationship of teachers and students that ought to be. It analyzes the reality of teachers and students existing in dissimilation of the relationship between teachers and students. Not only does the dissimilarity of the relationship between teachers and students influence the educational fair, but also affects the teachers’ authority and the students’ freedom.Again, through the analysis of the present situation of teachers’ authority and students’ freedom among the relationship between teachers and students, it points out that problems occurred about teachers’ authority and students’ freedom. From the aspects of society, teachers and students, it explores the reason that teachers’ authority hindering the students’ freedom under the alienative relationship between teachers and students.Finally, through the analysis of the relationship of teachers’ authority and students’ freedom, it explores the possibility of the intergrowth of teachers’ authority and students’ freedom in concordant relationship between teachers and students. From the aspects of social system, teachers and students and exerting join force, it constructs the harmonious relationship between teachers and students under the symbiosis of teachers’ authority and students’ freedom.
