Study And Analysis Of College Girls Basketball Option Class Status In Xingtai

Basketball is one of the most widely played and influential sports in the world, which was introduced into China around 1896 by the Chinese YMCA in Tianjin. Now in our country it is a relatively popular sports. Basketball is full of vitality, which,can not only improve the students’ physical quality, exercise their will, but also can edify their sentiments, cultivate their team spirits, strengthen students’ sense of mission and the conciousness of honor. In physical education teaching in colleges and universities,the basketball option class is an important content.Basketball is very popular among boy students in colleges and universities, but girls think basketball is boy’s patent in their subconscious mind. In the sports option class basketball is not going to be the first choice. When girls choose basketball as their options class,there are a variety of factors. They will consider many factors, such as the basketball interest, basis, psychology, physiology and teaching conditions, teaching facilities, teacher level as well as the application of course content, teaching methods and means, etc.This article will take present teaching situation as the research object in girls taking part in basketball option class in four universities in Xingtai area. Using the method of documentation, questionnaire investigation, expert interview method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods, I made a analysis for girls basketball option class interest and motivation in course of study, course mode, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching fields and facilities present situation investigation and the problem of teachers’ condition. Finally the results of the study are showed as follows:1、Xingtai college girls are lack of interest in basketball option class, so helping them improve the learning interest is needed. Teachers should encourage girls’ enthusiasm of physical exercise by more positive guidance, help the student to improve the consciousness of physical exercise, and let them take part in basketball class from passive learning to active learning by seeking pleasure in physical exercise.2、Xingtai universities are short of women professional basketball teachers, so colleges need to cultivate professional basketball female teachers, and improve teachers’ team force. The sex ratio of the teachers in basketball option class is not harmonious at all. Female teachers are short, so increasing women basketball teachers, improving teachers’ level, and enhancing the teaching quality are all needed.3、Teachers should adopt the teaching contents, methods and means, which are suitable for girls.Because male and female students’ physical and mental developments are different, and their basketball levels are also different. Teacher should use different teaching methods to teach differently. Teachers in the teaching process must have the innovation spirit and adopt different teaching means and methods according to the situation of the students.4、At present Xingtai basketball option class teaching is not single-sex classes teaching. Teachers must develop the teaching according to students’ aptitude and avoid neglecting part of the students. If the conditions permit, teachers should follow the principle of letting students completely voluntary choose the course.Teachers had better take single-sex classes or divide classes according to students’ level.5、 In Xingtai universities basketball teaching environment is not optimistic, which urgently needs to improve the level of facilities. A good physical environment is the precondition of carrying out the sports teaching effectively, and the basic guarantee of performing physical education teaching task smoothly. It plays an incentive and healthy role in teaching, and also has an important significance in the development of students body and mind.This article will also shoot at increasing the girls’ basketball level in Xingtai, and give a scientific basis for the revolution of physical education teaching. I expect to promote the development of girls’ basketball through this researching, and at the same time, aim to enhance the physical quality of female college students, and promote the female college students’ mental health.
