With the development of Chinese Economy, the progress of the society and the enhance of people living standards, outdoor sports become more and more popular in Chinese people’s daily life. In university, outdoor sports are much more popular. The reasons are that college students are young, energetic and active, and at the same time they are easy to be organized and are willing to accept new things. With the rapid expansion of outdoor sports in colleges and universities, from the organization and preparation of outdoor sports to sales and leasing of outdoor equipment, they show their great potentials, especially the potentials of business opportunities and market. The emergences of the development of the market and business opportunities attract more and more organizations to spontaneously carry out some outdoor sports. This study analyzes outdoor sports in the view of the industry value analysis. Simultaneously, this research explores the strategies for the sustainable development of outdoor sports.proper conclusion and analysis. The conclusions are as follows:1、 The characteristics of outdoor sports club in college and university:(1) Exclusiveness(2) Bureaucracy(3) Non-professionalization2、 The outdoor sports industry has a certain scale. The total annual economic forecast of it in Shanghai universities is about 60 million. And its industry value is mainly manifested in outdoor equipment consumption and outdoor professional service.3、In the term of outdoor sports consumption in colleges and universities, the consumption structure of college students is given priority to with substance consumption.4、There are some Industry barriers existing in the development of outdoor sports in colleges and universities. Outdoor clubs repel each other. To break the barrier and form a collaboration mechanism of benefit sharing is the key.5、Outdoor sports in colleges and universities will be more and more popular, with the enlargement of the middle class and the concept of outdoor leisure, outdoor sports market value in colleges and universities will gradually appear in the future.Based on the research of outdoor sports consumer market and the models of consumer behavior of college students, this study attributes the outdoor sports as the main industry, basic industry and extension industry, but it doesn’t delve into further studies, which is the deficiency of this study. The researcher will continue along the current thinking. Through the research of present situation of outdoor sports industries development in colleges and universities and their industrial value, this study is due to make contributions to healthy development of China’s outdoor sports in colleges and universities.
