The postgraduates’enrollment in 2000 was about 10 million people, but the number has reached staggering 43.9 million people with enrollment expansion in recent years. In addition, rapid growth has also brought a lot of employment problems, accompanied by decreased quality of postgraduate education. Currently postgraduates of physical education did more work that is related to the profession, and being a PE teacher has become the first choice. However, the’ teaching ability has shown a declining trend year by year. Therefore training Teaching Ability training for National Traditional Sports Graduate is a task of great urgency. Through the training methods and formulate principles of this study, we could provide some advice and reference for improving the quality of the National Traditional Sports graduates, in order to better achieve the training objectives and improve the employability and competitiveness of graduates.In this paper, we take the teaching capacity of the National Traditional Sports graduates as the research object, though summarizing the sorting documents, investigating the experts and the students, to analyze and classify their teaching ability by the method of logical reasoning, and explore the fostering mechanism of teaching ability. The specific conclusions are as follows:Established the fostering principles of the National Traditional Sports graduates’ teaching ability, which including the systematic principle, the principle of development, planning principles, the difference principle, the principle of combining theory with practice. According to the students’ approval ratings and expert opinion to determine the part of the National Traditional sports graduates’ teaching ability, and accordingly established teaching competency model.The National Traditional sports graduates’ teaching ability include:(1) pre-class comprehensive ability, namely teaching basic skills and preparation skills; (2) the ability classroom, namely class monitoring capabilities and classroom skills; (3) after-school capacity, namely self-summary capabilities and after-school tutoring skills. Through fostering the above-mentioned teaching ability systematically and comprehensively, we can promote and develop their teaching capabilities constantly, so that they can meet the needs of The National Traditional graduate talent in a new era.
