In the primary and high schools in China, class leaders is an important social character, they are not only the people with proper rights entrusted by class or the teacher in charge, but also it’s another identity for the students besides student itself. In the research of building ways of class leaders, we can’t escape the issues like “class leader” institution, the selection and development for class leaders. In the realization of the institution of class leaders, we have to look back its history. The necessary premise to understand and explain the fact is to look back the history, and understanding needs time and history, so it is the case with the understanding for class leader, we need a historical and developing vision.Pending on methodology of hermeneutic and the theory of rights, with the carding for the emerge, development and progress for class leader institution, it has been transforming and will develop in the more rational and healthier way with the progress of the society progress and the educational theory.In order to understand the building way of class leaders in junior high schools, we observed and interviewed the teachers and students as well as parents at Grade 2 Class W in D school, with the materials we collected which describing and demonstrating us with the building up and operating for the class leader group. And we discussed the necessary abilities of class leader, in the end we concluded the influencing factors of whether to be class leaders in the aspects of school, family and piers.From the research, we found there are two groups of class leaders since now, the first group of class leaders were nominated directly by the teacher in charge, and the second one was selected democratically by the class. The teacher’s opinion and the behaviors formed at the first year all influenced the second democratic selection, which showed the identity for the class leaders from the students. In the end, with comparison for the main building up ways of class leaders to analyze the relationships between class leaders with teachers, class leaders with other leaders, and class leaders with normal students. With “class leader right” to discuss the original value of class leader institution, we raise the strategy of class leader group building up way under the value regression.
