Since the 1990s, the non-governmental education in China has grown rapidly. However, subjected to institution and system, non-governmental education now is not that popular than before. It cannot be compared with western private school, and also is lagged behind by governmental school in China. However, to prosper non-governmental education, it is a must to manage the faculties among which the key is to perfect the salary system in private school. Reasonable salary system can not only help private universities attract, secure and encourage talents, but also can strengthen the core competitiveness to achieve their target.JM College, a non-governmental education institution, was set up very early in Anhui province. The developing mode of it is an epitome of private college history. As a representative of non-governmental education institution, the study of salary problem and how to set up the corresponding salary system is a reference of college of the same kind.This paper begins with a classic compensation and incentive theory as a guidance of optimizing of JM college education salary system. It follows with a questionnaire survey about the satisfactory of salary system in this private college. Based on this questionnaire survey, this paper gives detailed information of current situation and existing problem of salary system in JM College. At last, this paper highlights the mode of combining economic compensation system and non-economic compensation system. From studying and analyzing of this mode, this paper establishes reasonable, applicative, and competitive salary system. The optimized salary system can wholly reflect the equity and competitiveness of it, which also can satisfy the various requirements of teachers. Thus, it improves the degree of satisfaction of teaching in JM college and promote the long term development of the college.
